Introduction
Tennessee Technological University is located in Cookeville, Tennessee, approximately 80 miles east of Nashville and 60 miles west of Knoxville. It is situated on a beautiful 1,400-acre campus in the heart of the Upper Cumberland region of Tennessee. Off-Campus
TN Tech is located in the heart of Cookeville, Tennessee, and offers a variety of off-campus housing options for students. There are dozens of apartment complexes and houses within a few miles of campus, as well as several restaurants, grocery stores, and other amenities. The university also provides a free shuttle service to and from downtown Cookeville.
Directions to TN Tech
Tennessee Technological University is located in Cookeville, TN. To get here, take I-40 to exit 280. From there, take Highway 111 North for about two miles. Tennessee Tech will be on your left.
From Cookeville
From Cookeville:
-Start out going NORTH on S BROAD ST/US-441 N toward W JACKSON ST. Continue to follow US-441 N.
-Turn RIGHT onto TN-136 E/E SPRING ST.
-Stay STRAIGHT to go onto I-40 E/US-70 E. Continue to follow I-40 E.
-Take the US-64 exit, EXIT 286.
-Turn LEFT onto US-64 W/W JACKSON ST. Continue to follow US-64 W.
-Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto TN-54/E 10TH ST/US-70 BR W/W MAIN ST. Continue to follow TN 40 W, TN 54, and US 70 BR W into Monterey. At the 3rd traffic light in Monterey, turn right onto Gentry Avenue (TN 288). The campus will be 1 mile ahead on the right.
From Nashville
Take I-40 E toward Knoxville. Take exit 290B to merge onto US-231 S/TN-10 W toward Cookeville/Sparta. Turn right at Neal St, Destination will be on the right.
##From Chattanooga
Take I-24 W and US-127 N to I-75 N in Whitfield County. Take exit 320 from I-75 N. Continue on TN-30 N/E 5th St. Drive to S Dixie Ave in Cookeville. Turn left at E Broad St, Destination will be on the right.
From Memphis
Memphis to Cookeville:
I-40 East to Exit 288 for Hwy. 141 North/Gainesboro, turn right off the exit ramp onto Hwy. 141 North/Gainesboro
Continue on Hwy. 141 North for approximately 36 miles (Hwy. 141 becomes Jefferson Ave. in Cookeville)
After passing through downtown Cookeville, TN Tech will be on the left
From Nashville:
I-40 West to Exit 268 for Hwy. 70 South toward Waverly/Pleasant View, turn left off the exit ramp onto Hwy. 70 South
Continue on Hwy. 70 South through Waverly and into Pleasant View
In Pleasant View, take a right onto Hwy. 53 East toward Cookeville
Hwy. 53 East will become Jackson Street as you enter Cookeville
After passing through downtown Cookeville, TN Tech will be on your right
